Presence Centered Awareness

Process * Meditation * Inquiry
Personal Growth * Professional Skill Training
with Lee Joseph

We use the word Presence for our open sense of Being - Conscious Aliveness.

Presence Centered Awareness points to living more Awarefully and Consciously in and from this Presence. What are the stories you tell yourself, that you take as your life? Who or what is it that is here, before, during and after each of these stories that shows up, changes, and passes?

There is a ‘ground substance’ to our Being that is already of Peace… Joy… relaxed Knowing and Love. We draw from many traditions and approaches including the practical applications of meditative awareness practices from Vipassana and Advaita understandings, and psychological approaches including Hakomi Therapy, Psychosynthesis, Gestalt Therapy, various communication models, and others. These will be applied in an experiential blend of deepening awareness, presenceful touch, and therapeutic heartful communication, - within oneself, paired practices, and group process, in an atmosphere of safety and relaxed presence.

A Method & Process, Inquiry & Meditation Workshop

This Program has been designed for Touch Therapists, Psychological Therapist wishing to deepen the integration of the Body and Touch into their Professional Practice, as well as individuals simply interested in healing, growing and deepening access to source.

We use the word Presence for our open sense of Being - Conscious Aliveness. Presence Centered Awareness points to living more Awarefully and Consciously from this Presence. This workshop is experiential - a combination of discussion, inquiry, paired and group processes, meditations, personal expression, interpersonal sharing, transpersonal exploration, yoga movement and ’play’. Together we will explore our paths, - what is ‘ready’ to be heard, what is ‘ready’ to be healed. We will invite the ‘still influential unresolveds’, to shed the light of awareness for release, understanding, forgiveness, and evolving ways of being. We will also invite the dropping of what is seen and no longer useful. We can ‘walk thru doorways’ in this Now... access/experience essential Being - Presence. We can celebrate and rest here... and smile at each other in recognition.

What are the stories you tell yourself, that you take as your life? Who or what is it that is here, before, during and after each of these stories shows up, changes, and passes? There is a ‘ground substance’ to our Being that is of Peace… Joy… and relaxed Knowing.

Presence Centered Awareness (PCA) is an approach to daily living, and a therapeutic approach to personal healing and growth. PCA provides a safe and effective style of work that supports: -healing old wounds, -forgiveness and acceptance, -coming out of unhealthy patterns and habits, and -exploring higher levels of wellness and creativity. With clearer feeling and seeing, the non-essential can be let go of more easily. Beauty and Presence of Being is then naturally experienced. Life shows up more as gratitude and celebration in all experiences.

This workshop is open to anyone truly interested in their own evolution as well as working with skills and practices to help relieve suffering. We will utilize a synthesis of methods for personal growth, interpersonal communication, and opportunities to go beyond the personal - for your self and in the service of others. We draw on many traditions and approaches including Hakomi Therapy, Psychosynthesis, Gestalt Therapy and other psychological approaches, with the practical applications of observational and meditative awareness practices from Vipassana and Advaita understandings.
